The People behind the scenes

Meet our team

We don’t have officers. We don’t hold elections. We collaborate and we do what needs to get done. We are 100% volunteer run, with a plan to retake control of the Green Party in Alaska.

Our Commitment to a Sustainable Future

The Grassroots Green Party of Alaska is a vibrant community dedicated to fostering ecological balance, advocating for social justice, and promoting peaceful resolutions. We believe in the importance of preserving democracy and respecting the indigenous land we occupy. Our mission is to empower citizens to be involved in the democratic process. Join us in our efforts to create a sustainable future for all Alaskans, where every voice matters and every action counts.

Key Pillars of Our Party

  • Our country’s long wars and worldwide military presence are immoral and unsustainable.
  • The human cost of climate change is too high.
  • Falling wages and rising bills are hitting most of us, and the most vulnerable are hit the hardest.
  • We demand the public financing of elections, open debates, and more representative voting systems.

As we move forward, we’ll be teaming up with other community organizations. We’re stronger together! Check our Events Calendar and Facebook page for things you can do in your community.

Currently, we are NOT the “Green Party” that you registered as when you registered with the state. Unfortunately, that “group” has been run to the ground by a small group of individuals that do not share the Green Party values, have expressed, on record, no desire to engage in politics further, consider themselves Libertarians, and got the officially registered group that they now control – decertified by the national Green Party back in 2012! They refuse to disband, as the leader uses the credabilty of the GP, to promote his business. It’s nothing more than a marketing tool for him. This is fairly obvious if you attend of their meetings, as it always starts with a lengthy video promotion.

Our Volunteers have been in frequent communication with the ballet access committee of nation GP, and we have their support. If you’d like to know how we plan to regain control of the party name with the state of Alaska, our monthly meetings are open to everyone. We’d love to see you there!
